Mt Budd is a small mountain (decorated with its own stone cairn), at 591 metres above sea level - situated on a little over 300 private acres in the beautiful shire of Murrindindi, North East Victoria.
What it may lack in size as a mountain, is more than made up for with the most stunning example of Australian native bushland and wildlife.
With a mutual, life-long love for the Australian bush, we relocated interstate to fulfil our dream of owning a bush property in early 2021.
As practicing visual artists by profession (see links below), neither of us had intended on becoming 'farmers', but the opportunity presented by Mt Budd to become self-sustainable was one not to be missed.
Operating off the grid also encouraged a refreshingly new perspective on our living habits and life values. Before we knew it, our priorities had simplified from the rush and demands of suburban living to watching weather patterns on a daily basis in order to manage our garlic growing, monitor deer migration patterns or even something as simple as putting a load of washing on.
And we wouldn't have it any other way :)
